Our Team
Paul Mazzotta
With 25 years of experience in the commercial office and healthcare furniture sector, Paul graduated with Honours from the Humber Polytechnic Industrial Design program in 2001. Paul’s early career involved working with a Toronto-based consultancy specializing in product development and detailing, where he had the privilege of collaborating with prominent manufacturers such as Herman Miller, Gieger, Knoll, HNI, and Keilhauer. This experience was invaluable in learning the intricacies of crafting furniture and architectural products.
In 2007, he established Hub Design Studio, a design and development consultancy built on the principle of delivering refined solutions throughout the design process. Paul is particularly drawn to projects that present limitations and require innovative, unconventional thinking. This approach has led to industry recognition, with his designs being featured in numerous publications and receiving several awards, including The Good Design Award, HiP Award, Best of Neocon, ADEX Award, CFYC Award, and Product Innovations Award.
Aaron Duke
After completing his undergraduate studies in Industrial Design, Aaron worked for a number of furniture manufacturers and consulting firms. In 2009, he established his design studio, Intersection.
The studio worked on projects that vary in scale; from medical products to furniture, to the built environment, to social innovation. From its inception, Intersection endeavored to create a dynamic, synergetic environment, where people enthusiastically delve into projects that encourage the essential discourse between culture and science through a design medium.
Aaron’s design work has received numerous awards such as the Good Design Award, Best of Neocon, and Best of Interior Design, as well as being featured in publications such as Azure, Metropolis, Contract, The Globe and Mail, and Interior Design. Most importantly, Aaron has been able to establish successful, collaborative relationships with some of the most prominent, design-conscious corporations and institutions in North America and abroad.
